My dad was and still is a truck driver. Riding in the truck and watching him shift gears amazed me. One day when we stopped at a truck stop, he bought me my first truck to drive around in the passenger seat.

In the year 2012 my mom and younger brother got stuck in Mexico for almost a whole year, leaving me with my dad. That summer i spent the whole two months riding around the country and reading signs and watching all the crazy stuff that happens while being a truck driver

Now that i'm back home and prepared for school, i can fully read and write big paragraphs and long stories. The dreaded big book of words and homework was the worst part.

My first year of middle school was tough. I now had to learn more advanced reading and writing skills. The classes were easy but i was still nervous

7th grade was by far the hardest year. I can definitely say that i learned a whole lot more about reading and writing.
