    The Early Childhood Development and Academic Assistance Act was passed in South Carolina.
  • No Child Left Behind Act was passed.

    The No Child Left Behind Act was passed by the House of Representatives in 2001 after being proposed by George W. Bush. This act requires federal funding for Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). Students who don't meet AYP must be provided services by the school for success.
