    I started when I was just 3 years old so I started to learn how to read early

    In 1st grade I learned how to start forming paragraphs we were having spelling tests
  • 2nd and 3rd Grade

    2nd and 3rd Grade
    In these grades we started to learn how to write in cursive and read books like Junie B. Jones and Magic Treehouse
  • 4th and 5th Grade

    4th and 5th Grade
    We started to read non fiction books and move on to higher level chapter books
  • Holes

    I remember reading holes in 6th grade and I did not understand why we were reading it in a keyboarding class which is like a typing class. I hated that book but I had to read it because we had to write about it and do a final project about it.
  • 8th grade

    8th grade
    This was the year that the hunger games came out and it was one of the first science fiction book that I read and actually liked. It was also one of the first books that was assigned in class that I actually read. And we read Copper Sun
  • 9th Grade

    9th Grade
    This year we started to have Socratic seminars and writing speeches. We read a book called Speak
  • 10th Grade

    10th Grade
    Joy Luck Club and Vocabulary Quizzes. The Joy Luck Club was my favorite book that I read that whole school year. And also that year my teacher gave us words that would be on the SAT and he quizzed us on those words

    The things they carried was basically about men that went to war and the things that the experienced and what they took away from it
  • 12th Grade

    12th Grade
    We started with reading the book How to Read Literature Like a Professor and after that reading that it changed the way I read books and I started to focus on the symbolism in stories that I read
  • Now

    My writing and reading is stronger and I can see symbolism in the books that I read and I understand what I'm reading while I'm reading instead of going back.
