Kindergarten
In kindergarten, i don’t recall much, but I do remember my mom, my sister, and I would go tot he public library and checkout books to read. -
2006-2007
In first and second grade I remember getting book bags, we would take those home and read books. I started to really enjoy reading at this point. -
Love you forever
Love you forever was one of my favorite books. I remember this was the first book where I actually felt emotions. -
2008-2009
At this time I stared to read at a more advanced level. The librarian at my school saw how much I loved reading and she would always save books for me that she thought I would like. During these years I was 8 and 9 and I was going through some family problems. I remember reading Harry Potter and The MagicTreehouse series. I wished that like the characters in those stories I could disappear to another place. Which is what reading allowed me to do. Reading helped me a lot during these years. -
2010-2011
During these years my love for reading continued. I read one of my favorite books ever. It’s called “The Red Pyramid”. I instantly fell in love with it. During this time I started branching out from fiction books. I also won my school spelling which I think reading helped me a lot in. I knew more words because of reading , I even read the dictionary. -

Perks of being a wall flower, continued my love for reading . Charlie was so pure and innocent, it made me empathize with him. -
2012-2013
I believe that during these years I was at the junior high. I used to love spending my time in the library. One of these summers I also read all the pretty little liar books(the ones that were out at the time) I used to live across the street from the public library so I would finish one book in like two days then go and check out the next book from the series. At school i read all the Simpson’s comic books . -
2014-2016
These were difficult years in my reading journey. I went from loving books to hardly ever even touching a book. I wouldn’t even read the books assigned in class. Although at the end of 2016 I started reading poetry. -
2017-2018
I once again started to read but not as much as I used to. I read the burn journals and it was one of my favorite books ever. I also read The Glass Castle) and I very much liked that book. I came across the Red Pydamid again while in the library and i checked it out and remembered why it’s my all time favorite book. -
Future
Making this timeline made me realize how much I used to love reading. And i honestly don’t know why I don’t continue to read. I hope that over summer I will read atleast 3 books. I want to get lost in a book like I used to when I was 8. Although I don’t read books I still read news articles and Wikipedia pages. I could read Wikipedia pages on random things for hours. So I will focus more on reading actual books this summer.
