Beginning Process
Inside a testicle, a sperm is being made. The result is a sperm or egg cell with 23 chromosomes and although the cell is incomplete, each chromosomes carries a vast number of a combination of genes. -
Difficulties of sperm
Sperm goes through a large amount of challenges as it tries to survive. It begins with 300 millions of sperm, but there are slim chances that one sperm will reach and fertilize an egg. -
Sperm and Egg
Once sperm and egg get together, they have one goal and it is to create a viable embryo. -
2 weeks after conception
The process is called gastrulation and this is the moment when the cells start to organize themselves into an embryo. A human embryo is forming three weeks after fertilization. -
18 weeks
The doctor should be able to make out if it is a girl or boy. You can tell by looking at the chromosomes. An embryo with two X chromosomes usually becomes a girl. If one of those Xs is a Y, it will most likely be a boy. -
2 months after fertilization
The embryo is called a fetus. -
Sixth month
Myelin covers allow nerve impulses to travel up to 100 times faster. This will continually help the baby with enhancing brainpower. The woman's body's blood supply has also increased by 50 percent. -
Birth
The tiny passageway must widen to about four inches to accommodate a baby's head. If there is not enough room, a Caesarian section can take place.
