The allies, lead by the Soviets and the Brits had driven the undermanned Central Powers lead by Germany to ceasefire on 11/11/1918, also known as Armstice day.

    The biggest war in the history of the world, World War 2. Caused by Germany trying to expand by invading Poland. Britian and France warned Germany that if they invaded, they would declare war. Germany invaded on the 1st of Sept. 1939 and the allied forces (Soviets, Britian, France, US, Canada, China, Australia and many more) declared war on the Axis (Germany, Japan, Italy, Hungary and more.)
    It finished when the allies invaded Berlin, the center of the Axis, and Hitler commited sucicide.
