The State Legislature of Florida thought that homosexual were communists. They started asking around to see who was sleeping who.

The John Committee

Period: 1956 to 1965

The University of Florida found that some of their teachers and students were homosexuals and after the student or teacher would admit to being gay then they were kicked out of the university.

The Stonewall Inn

Jun 28, 1969

The Stonewall Inn is also known as the Stonewall Riots. They had enough of the New York Police department harassing them so they starting throwing objects at the police as they were loading people into the "paddy wagons". The riot ended up lasting 5 more days after June 28.
