    ....otherwise known as Elvis. His nickname The King comes from his influence on the Rock and Roll scene of the twentieth century. He was not only known for his music and unique voice, but he brought a new stage presence that has never been seen before. He had a certain way he moved his mouth and lips when he sang and an even more unique way of moving his hips when he danced.

    The British Invasion

    The Beatles. Some people, both young and old, may refer to this band as the most influencial band in the history of music. They not only took over their homeland but also America and the world. Their influence on the music world can be seen and heard in the music that we listen to today; in fact some artists give credit to The Beatles for being the influence that got them into music at all.

    Bob Marley brought a new raggae sound to the music world. He was a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. His music is still well known and listened to today.

    The Rolling Stones are and Englsih rock band who were also apart of the British Invasion. Their songs are known by this generation and generations past. They were/are/have been such an impact on music and gained such a following that they are currently on a world tour in their 70s!

    He will forver be known as one of the best guitrists of all time. Though his mainstream solo career was short lived, he was also a songwriter and singer on many tracks.

    Cher took over the music scene during a male dominated time. She started out being apart of duo with her husband called Sonny and Cher. She later went on solo and is best known for her unique voice.

    Stevie Nicks has made a succesful career both on her own and with her band, Fleetwood Mac. She is both a singer and songwriter that has won numerous awards and broken many records. Fleetwood Mac is still touring today.

    Although I have the end date ending on his death, this singer still influences even after his passing. Micheal Jackson started off in a group with his brothers called the Jackson Five, he was the youngest of all the brothers yet seemed to make the greatest impact. After the Jackson Five, he went on to a solo career. The moonwalk, the one glove look, various dance moves, and his music changed the music world forever.

    Madonna is known for many things throughout her career, but I think people look up to her most becase of her indivuality. What I mean by this is that she was never scared to push boundries. Whether it be her style, music videos, or her songs, she was never afriad to do what she wanted no matter what other people thought.
