War faught by between the French and Indians against the British over part of Pennslyvania and Ohio. Great Britain won the war but demanded that the colonists pay the war reparations. -

Congress passed Lee's proposition
Richard Henry Lee staed that the colonies should be independent staes from Great Britain. Congress approved July 2nd thus the colonies became independent from Great Britain. -
Declaration of Independence
Congress approved Thomas Jeffersons draft for the Declaration of Indepdence. The DOC had 3 parts: the preamble, a list of basic human rights, and essentially the reasons why the colonists left Great Britain.
