British Troops showed up in America to force taxes. Colonists did not like this,because they wanted to be independent from Britain, so they started a riot with the British Troops. The British Troops called in reenforcments and started shooting the colonists. The Colonists and Soldiers fought with eachother and killed many. Thus is why we call it The Boston Massacre. -
