French and Indian War
This war was between the French and Great Britan. The indians were on both sides of the war. This war was named the seven year war because it lasted for about seven years. -
Sugar act
The sugar act was passed so Great Britan could make money to repair for the damage done durnig the French and Indian war. Samuel Adams protested and said the Great Birtan could not tax the colonist withot the colonist permission -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act taxed things like newspapers, playing cards, certificates, licenses, and other colonial paper products. The colonist were forced to buy these products woth tax if they wanted them. Protests began instantly, they formed a society named the Sons of Liberty. -
The repeal of the Stamp Act
Due to the fact that almost instantly protest began on the Stamp Act. They ended up repealing this act. The colonist issued a declaration that the stamp act was a violation of the colonist rights. -
The Boston Massacre
On this day a British soldier was standing guard and the colonist in an act or protest got into an arguement with him. The British soldier opened fire on the colonist. A crowd gathered. Soon a small number of troops came. They opened fire on the crowd killing three more people. Soon after about 2 days two more colonist died. -
The Boston Tea Party
The Parliament repealed most of the Townshend Acts taxes to die down some of the tension, Although Great Britian Stil knew that the demand for tea was high in the colonies so they kept the tax on tea. On the night of December 16, 1773 some colonist disguised themseleves as Indians and snuck aboard 3 tea filled British ships and threw the tea overboard. -

After the all the colonist had gone through, from taxs on items that were needed. The colonist finally had the courage to stand up to Great Britian even if that meant going into war. The colonist were prepared after all -
The Revolutionary War
The Revolutionary War in the United States, began as a war between the Kingdom of Great Britain and the Thirteen Colonies, but gradually grew into a world war between Britain on one side and the newly formed United States, France, Netherlands, Spain, and Mysore on the other. American independence was achieved and European powers recognized the independence of the United States, with mixed results for the other nations involved.
