    a. The cause of the war was both sides wanted to expand their North American colonies
    b. France and Britain had colonies in North America, the British wanted settle within the Native Americans and trade with them. The French built forts to protect their trade within the Indians and this caused them to end up in war because they wanted to expand their land

    Proclamation of 1763
    a. This document was issued on October 7, 1763 and was issued to establish the new land reserved west of the Appalachian Mountain for the Indians.
    b. The effect that this document had on the colonists were the British began to tax the colonists heavily due to be in debt after the war.

    a. Parliament was the ones responsible for the Sugar Act.
    b. The Sugar Act was so England were able to tax the colonists on molasses and sugar and to send smugglers of the goods to court due to England being in debt after the war.
    c. The significance of the law was a change in policy to where it was an option to pay taxes on sugar and molasses to the British to where you had to pay taxes for the sugar and molasses because of their debt.

    b. The Stamp Act was established to tax the colonists on each document or paper that was stamped or needed to be, and this was their first of many ways they began to tax the colonists
    c. The colonists responded to the Stamp Act by creating the SOns of LIberty which protested against the Stamp agents and they created the Stamp Act Congress to attempt to take the Act away because they determined that the British was abusing their power.

    b. The purpose of this was to tax goods from England on the colonists such as glass, lead, tea, and paper. Due to the heavily taxing, colonists would smuggle goods into their homes. The writs of assistance allowed British agents to come into their house during daytime if they were convicted of smuggling goods
    c. The money collected from taxing would be used to pay for debt on the war
    d. The colonists weren't happy and wanted this to be repealed
  • Boston Massacre

    a. 5 colonists were shot and killed when British fired
    b. This was a street fight between the British and colonists due to the Townshend Acts
    c. It started off as few colonists yelling, calling names to some British soldiers but then grew overtime since the soldiers took no action

    a. The Native Americans were responsible for the Tea Party
    b. The Tea Act had led to this because they didn't agree with it and saw it not being fair.
    c. (1) The Natives dumped the 92,000 pounds of tea in the Boston Harbor
    (2) They took 3 ships in order to dump the tea into the Harbor
    d. The British passed the Intolerable Acts after they heard what had happened, this closed off the Harbor for no trading to be done.

    b. The Intolerable Acts were passed after the Boston Tea Party because when they Natives dumped all that tea into the Harbor, England had lost a lot of money when they dumped the tea

    d. The result of the meeting was they called a boycott of the British goods and to not use military force against them, unless it was necessary
