Lauryn Long's Projected Family Life Cycle

  • Period: to

    Beginning Stage

No children of my own. Begin dating my future husband. Get married 2 years later and move to the city while I'll start my career in Physical Therapy after the couple years of college and maybe meet my future husband while still in college or after.
  • Period: to

    Childbearing Stage

Start having children. 3 or 4 children close in age. Preferable 1-2 years apart. Hopefully 2 girls and 2 boys so it's even. My girls will be girly girls and love everything pink and sparkly. They'll be spoiled to death. The boys will be momma's boys but will want to be exactly like their dad and try to do everything just like him or with him.
  • Period: to

    Parenting Stage

Parenting the children. Oldest one will be 17. We'll take the children on tons of adventures and spoil them. We'll help them in school, take them on vacations, buy them everything they would want or what we can afford but try to spoil them. We will hopefully have good careers and make good money. We'll live in a nice house and each children will have their own rooms.
  • Period: to

    Launching Stage

First child will be 18 and leaving the house to go to college and will be living in the dorms while the youngest will be 14 and starting High School. We will help the other children that are still in highschool and still help the one in college, trying to support them and teaching them to support themselves since they'll have to be doing that pretty soon.
  • Period: to

    Mid-Years Stage

Living without the children. Probably moved to another state or moved closer to each of the kids since they're going to be starting or have already started their families and I'll want to be there to help/ see the grandkids and be there for every event.
  • Period: to

    Aging Stage

I will be retired with my husband and we'll have saved up enough money to move to Maine and live right on the ocean/beach. I'll spend every morning going on walks on the beach, watching the sun rise then every night I'll sit on my porch and watch the waves come in while the sun goes down while reading a book until it's time to go to bed.
