I have enjoyed reading as far back as I can remember. When I was young, my favorite books included "I Love You Forever," "The Giving Tree," and all Dr. Seuss books. My parents read me these books throughout my infant and toddler years.

I did not like reading the books assigned in class, in particular I remember hating Animal Farm and Shakespeare plays. High school was a turning point for me, I moved from a Catholic school to a Public school and was introduced to books that involved suspense, drama, and romance. The first book I read freshman year for English Class was called "Speak." This opened up my eyes to the real life issues books can portray. From that point forward, I sought out books that I I found moving, I especially had an intersest in love stories.

    Graduate Years

Presently, I do not have much time for reading anything but the books that are assigned in class. This past semester I read "Not Much Just Chillin'", this book helped me gain a better understanding of middle school students. I plan on reading a lot more informative education books as soon as I have some spare time. I believe reading is important to be a life long learner and to stay informed about current trends.
