    In this part we see Odysseus see his wife trying to find a new suitor to replace him. But while people consumed by her wealth and looks keep attraction the eye of more and more men. By their law she had to give them her best hospitality by giving them food and drinks.

    Suitors
    Penelope and living in the palace of Odysseus consumed his wealth at their feasts during his absence. But Odysseus returned and none them escaped the palace alive. Penelope says that no one was dealt because of the Trojan War. For during the time her husband was away she not knowing whether he was dead or alive, passed her days in mourning, founding relief only in tears or sleep. Some could reasonably tell her that Odysseus was not the only man who never returned.

    Odysseus and his men landed on the island of Helios the sun god where his very special cattle were kept. Despite having been warned by Circe not to eat the cattle, Odysseus' men couldn't control their hunger. Bad call. Not long afterward, everyone died in a storm—except for Odysseus. But he was in for his own bad luck winding up on Kalypso's island to be held prisoner for seven year before getting free to shipwreck with some "friendly" Phaiakians. In this event Odysseus lost everything.

    Scylla & Charybdis
    When Odysseus and his men Sirens’ island, Odysseus and his men navigate the straits between Scylla and Charybdis. Scylla a six headed monster who when ships pass swallows one sailor for each head. Charybdis is an enormous whirlpool that threatens to swallow the ship. As instructed by Circe, Odysseus holds his course tight against the cliffs of Scylla’s lair. As he and his men stare at Charybdis on the other side of the strait, the heads of Scylla and eats six of the sailors.

    Circe
    They arrived on the island of Aeaea, ruled by Circe. Daughter is the of sun god Helius and the Oceanid Perse. Odysseus sent twelve men to investigate the island, only one returned. He sent eleven other men who became guest of lady Circe. Circe tried to cast the spell upon Odysseus and failed in which Odysseus threatened to kill her with his blade. In this event Odysseus lost lots of his men. He also was forced to engage in sexual activates with Circe.

    Sirens
    Odysseus and his men encounter lots of mythical creatures and gods along their journey. On their way home from Circe's island him and his men encounter the Sirens mythical temptresses who over time are said to lure men to their death with their beautiful voices. While passing through the Sirens Odysseus orders his men to put wax in their ears while they tie him to the ship he tell the not to untie him no matter what he did or said,in this part of his journey he loss no men and he gained nothing.

    Odysseus arrived on the island of Aeolia which was ruled by the god Aeolus Keeper of the Winds. He was a guest for few days. When he was leaving Aeolia, Aeolus gave Odysseus a bag made of ox-hide, trapping all the strong winds within. Odysseus sailed for nine straight days without sleep. The wind was fair and he sighted his island. Tired, Odysseus went below deck for short sleep. His men were curious to see what valuables was hidden in the bag, causing all the strong winds to escape.     Lotus-Eaters

    Lotus-Eaters
    A storm sent by Zeus sweeps them along for nine days before bringing them to the land of the Lotus-eaters, where the natives give some of Odysseus’s men the intoxicating fruit of the lotus. As soon as they eat this they would lose all their thoughts of home and only want to stay there and eat more of the fruit. Only by dragging his men back to the ship and locking them in could he get them off the island. In this he lost some men and gained the knowledge of his surroundings.

    The Trojan War

    The Trojan War
    Odysseus and his men were adventuring for the last 10 years. While adventuring he met a Trojan women Hecuba, an old harridan who could not forgive the way Odysseus had thrown her grandson Astyanax from the walls of Troy. They grew sick of her insults and decided to kill her. This caused anger in the gods and they were hit by the storm raised by Athena and were blown to Thrace. In this event Odysseus lost many of his men. Odysseus did gain the title of the first hero in the Trojan war.
