Lacross dates back to the year 1,100. Games used to have 100-1,000 people playing at once using wooden Lacross sticks. Lacrosse became a national sport in 1859. -

Softball was first created in 1887 by George Hancock. The first team was developed in 1895 at Chicago West Division High School. There wasn't a coach or competitive games until 1899. -

Basketball was invented by a college instructor in 1891. It then became an official sport in 1905. And the first NBA game was played on November 1st, 1946. -
Volleyball
Volleyball was made by William G. Morgan. Volleyball was created so then people who love basketball's jumping aspect could have a sport to fall back on. Volleyball was first invented in 1895 and became a national sport in 1934. -
American Football
American Football was created by Walter Camp. Walter Camp got his inspiration by altering the rules of the game of rugby. Later on, the sport of American Football took off and eventually became a national sport in 1920. -
Water skiing
Water Skiing was first invented in 1922 by Ralph Samuelson. The game was made when Ralph made the first pair of skis and decided to be towed behind a boat with them. It later became a national sport in 1939. -
Windsurfing
Windsurfing was first invented in 1948 by Newman Darby. But later on in 1968, Henry Schweitzer and Jim Drake modified the sport to what it is today. This sport went on to become an Olympic sport in 1984 -
Raquetball
Racquetball was invented in 1950 by Joseph Sobek. Racquetball is like Tennis and Pickleball except there isn't a net. In February 1952, Joseph founded the National Paddle Racket Association. -
Snowboarding
Snowboarding was invented in 1965 by Sherman Popper. He was making a toy for his daughter that was a snowboard to play in the snow with. Snowboarding was first introduced to the Olympics in 1998
