    Black Death

    The black death started in Europe in 1328 and lasted until 1351. The disease was spread by fleas that were carried by rats or other rodents. Almost one third of the population died. 7500 of the victims were dying each day.

    The first Chinese ships reach Africa

    The modern engineering was very even on Chinese ships. For weather conditions they made the rigs, structures and harnessing of propelling forces for different weather conditions. The Han Dynasty and Chinese ships were the two most studied. The towered ships were good to use for wars.

    The voyage took sixteen months. He sailed through a terrible storm near the Cape of Good Hope. On March, 12 1488 he started home. December 1488 he returned home.

    In 1492 Columbus finally got money and ships. August 1492 Columbus leaves Spain to look for West Indies. His ship was called Santa Maria. He named the island on the West Indies San Salvador. He thought he reached the passage to India and China.

    The Spanish and Portuguese made the treaty. It was made to stop the confusion about the land in the new claimed world. This gave more of South America to Portugal. Most of the New World went to Spain.

    The last of Columbus' voyages started at 1502 and ended at 1504. Columbus left Spain with four ships. Columbus comes back to Spain on November 7th 1502.

    They arrived to Peru under the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro. Lima was designated the Viceroyalty of Peru in 1542. From there the Spanish ruler a lot of South America. Lima was the center of government.

    The Spanish are the ones that found the city of Saint Augustine. Pedro Menendez de Ailves was the explorer. St Augustine is part of a region known as "The First Coast".
