This coupled with the dust bowl devastated the American people up until the start of World War 2, the New Deal was used to combat the ravaging of the American economy.

    Many people had over speculated the market, making it very appealing to every US citizen. Many citizens even took out loans to buy more stock. This eventually lead to a crisis in which the people had borrowed more money than the banks had. This caused people to sell their stocks all within a week tanking the market, the people who sold their stocks also lost their money entirely if they didn't get to the bank almost immediately.
