The dawes act was important because it helped reduce tribes to live the tradition ways. It was a new deal for Indians. Tribal control of the reservation were taken away. -

The massacre at wounded knee was important because there was a conflict between the Native American and the U.S government. 150 Native Americans died during the fight. The population was reduced to 237,000 Native Americans nearly ½ of the Sioux killed in the battle were women and children. -

The ellis isand opens is important because immigrants had to go to get checked. They had 5,000-10,000 immigrants passed the immigration center. Some immigrants stayed in New York. -
The violence in Chicago
The violence in Chicago between the African American and the whites started in 1919 July 27. In the violence, 38 people died and 500 or more were injured in the riot. The riot started because a black kid was swimming and was killed by whites because he was swimming and the cops didn’t want to arrest the whites.
