    Navagation Acts
    Purpose of Act: Directed the trade betwenn England and the colonies.
    Outcome of Act: Colonial Merchants couldn't use foreign ships and prevented the colonists from sending certain products that made up English Empires.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    Purpose of Act: It was so England could control westward movement.
    Outcome of Act: Angered those who onwed shares in land companies. They were furious that Britain ingnored their land claim.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Purpose of Act: to get people to pay taxes
    Outcome of Act: Angered the colonists because British actions violated their right to be English citizens.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Purpose of Act: to raise revenue and pay debt
    Outcome of Act: Parliament had interfered in colonial affairs by taxing the colonies directly. It also taxed the colonists wiothout their consent.
  • Declaratory Act

    Purpose of Act: to raise revneue and pay debt
    Outcome of Act: made colonists mad.
  • Townshed Acts

    Purpose of Act: to raise revenue and pay debt
    Outcome of Act: colonist beleived thst only their own representatives had the right to tax them. They otganized another boycott.
  • Tea Act

    Purpose of Act:to raise revenue and pay debt
    Outcome of Act: colonial merchants called for a new boycott. They issued a pamphlet saying that rather parting with freedom they would part with their tea.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    Purpose of Act: to setup a government for Quebec
    Outcome of Act: it ingnored the colonial claims of the land and colonists expressed their feelings in their name for the new laws- The Intolerable Acts.
  • Coercive Acts

    Purpose of Act: to punish Massachusetts
    Outcomeof act: colonists thought it violated their rights as English citizens like no quartering troops in private homes and no standing army in peacetime.
