The Mongol tribe Wa La attacked the Ming dynasty during this bloody battle. During this battle, the Ming army was surrounded in the fort of Tumu. They successfully captured the emperor using deception and Wang Zhen (the emperor) was killed among the confused soldiers. -

The emperor Ying Zong was captured by a currently unnamed Mongol tribe, and at this point returns. -

Liu Jin asserts his power by imprisoning more that 300 officials.

Wang Er begins uprising against the Ming dynasty.
Wang Er had collected an organization called the White Lotus of at least one million peasents and probably more. During this rebellion, approximately sixteen million people died. -
