Cathy Rigby was the first American to win a medal in the 1970 world championship. She won the silver medal on the balance beam.
This event showed the Americans are just as good as other countries. i think it gave confidence to American athletes.
This was the beginning of what our country is today. Probably the most athletic country in the world.
I would have liked to be at this event because she was one of the best in her event. And i like athletics. This was an important event. -
Muhammed Ali's big fight
In 1970, Muhammed Ali, after a 3 and a half year suspension made a big return to the ring on October 26, 1970. This was more than just a boxing match. This was to fight racism.
Ali was hated by many because of his race. He was also highly liked too. Many people did not like him fighting, but this proved that blacks are just as good.
Thanks to Ali, more blacks are allowed to box in more states.
I think that was a very important event. I like boxing and Ali. It would be really cool to be there. -
Dale Earnhardt's first championship
Dale Earnhardt was an American NASCAR driver. He is considered one of the best drivers ever. His first championship was in 1985
This was a big day for him. He is the only driver to get rookie of the year, then championship the next year.
This was the start of a legend. He won 7 championships in 26 years. He died in 2001 in a crash during a race.
I would have wanted t see this because I love racing, and I really like Dale Earnhardt sr. -
1985 Super Bowl
In the 1986 Super Bowl, the Chicago Bears defeated the New England Patriots 46-10. That was the record for largest win in Super Bowl history(36 points).
This was the last time the Bears won the super bowl. It was also a great day as a Bears fan because it was their first Super Bowl. They still haven't won to this day.
This event was the climax of the Chicago Bears. After that, the Bears have gone down hill.
I would love to watch this because I am a Bears fan and would like to see them win. -
Blue Jays win back to back titles
In the 1993 World Series, Joe Carter hit a walk off home run in game 6 to give the Blue Jays back to back titles.
To this day, there are only 7 teams to ever win the World series in back to back seasons. The Blue Jays being the seventh.
This is important because this shows how good of a team there really is. It is really rare to do this.
I would want to see this because of how much I like to watch baseball, and i would love to see a major event in MLB history. -
The first UFC fighthis even
The first UFC fight was in November 1993. A fight against Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock. Gracie took the win along with $50,000.
The UFC started out with only 8 men. Today it is a major fighting organization. This was a major part in UFC history. It grew and grew since then. More people were interested in it.
This event became a thing people watch every time possible. People invested. People won money with bets. It is a major event.
I would like to be there. I like to watch UFC fights. -

The Chicago Cubs had the longest drought in MLB history,108 years. In 2016, they finally won. They came back from a 3-1 deficit against the Indians In game 7. The Indians now currently have the longest drought.
This event brought joy to most Americans. Even a lot of non-Cubs fans. Cubs fans thought they would never see the Cubs win a title.
This event gave a lot of money to the Cub's franchise. All the players got rings. The Cubs can only progress from here.

Russell Westbrook is the new current record holder for triple-doubles in one NBA season. He recently beat Oscar Robertson's record of 41 in the 61-62 season.
This event is unique. This record has held for about 56 years. This truly shows how outstanding of a player he really is.
This event is boosting his chance to win this year's MVP over James Harden.
I would have loved to be here. I have loved the Thunder and Westbrook for a long time. He is my favorite player -
How i WANT to change the world part one
How do I want to change the world? I have always wanted to be an MLB player. And you can still do great things to change the world.
First of all, I could be a role model to young kids. My role model is Kris Bryant. He plays third base and so do I. My dream is to be like him. Many kids look up to him. Including me. I love Baseball and so does he.
Second, if i made a lot of money, I could start a fundraising campaign like some MLB players have. So has Joe Madden, the Chicago Cubs manager... -
How I want to change the world part two
If i had a fundraising campaign I could donate a lot of money to places like St. Jude to help kids like Reid.
So I want to change the world by becoming an MLB player and being a role model, and starting a fundraiser for other people.
