End of Japanese Isolationism
Four US battleships arrived in Japan and forced trade upon the Japanese. This caused Japanese to slowly open trade to foriegners. This caused Japan the need to industrialize to have a stronger military. -

League of Nations failure to stop Japan
The league of Nations ordered Japan to leave Manchuria. Japan responded to this by refusing to leave Manchuria and leaving the League of Nations. No bans where placed on Japan and no one stoped weapon sells to them. -

Fighting broke out between Japanese and Chinese troops in northern China. Japanese secretary of state urged to have self-restraint. -
Discussing of Peace with China
American Gov. tried to make peaceful converstaions with Japanese. Japan refused to participate in confrence saying that its war with China was no ne of their buisness. -
Janpanese joining of the Axis powers
Japan occupied French Vietnam because of an agreement with the Axis of Powers (Italy, and Germany). These actions intensified conflicts with the British and Americans. This caused an oil Boycott. -
Attacks on Peral Harbour
The Japanese launched a suprise attack on the American Naval base in Hawaii. This event caused the U.S. to go to war with the Japanese. The Japanese attempted this attack because they where fed up with the Americans halting the Japanese take over of Asia. This invasion eventually led to the Japanese downfall.
