Walking on a Path
Walking in the woods just like Phoenix walking a path in the pinewoods. -
Talking to myself
Talking to myself because I am trying to figure out where my camp is and also because I am by myself. This is just like Phoenix when she talks to herself. -
The Obstacle
Going in the wrong direction was similar to when Phoenix walked through the barbed wire fence because it was an obstacle. This was an obstacle because I had been walking for quite a while and it was beginning to get dark. -
The Hog
Continuing on my journey back to the camp I see a dark figures running across the path, I’m not sure whether it is a deer or a wild hog. This relates to Phoenix because she saw the scarecrow far far away but she thought it was a ghost, but unlike a ghost it was a wild hog. -
The graceful climb
When I saw these animals I didn’t want to be attacked so I quickly and gracefully climbed the nearest tree to get out of the line of sight of these wild hogs. This event is similar to when Phoenix fell in the ditch and she did it like a graceful milkweed. -
December
This journey was in December because I remember I was wearing warm clothing. Phoenix’s journey was also in December.
