    The French & Indian war started in 1754 and ended in 1763. The French and British were fighting cause they both claimed the Ohio territory between the Appalachians and the Mississippi and fought for that land. At first the French seemed to be winning so everyone wanted to be on their side. At the end the British won. After the war the British had to pay a lot of war taxes.
