  • 1700'S

    1700'S
    1700's style was very classy and formal. Men's fashion consist of coats, fulland longe Long vests, left open to reveal piles of ruffles and lace, were embroidered and trimmed in gold and bedazzled with jeweled buttons and stuffed with billowy sleeves. Breeches became fitted and close to the knee. Topped with a powered wig. Women's fashion consist of typical floor length skirts or dresses flouncing around a form-fitting bodice. alaso, topped with the powdered wigs.

    1800's
    The fashion of the 1800's took a swing from the 1700's. Women's fashion were tight dresses that made te waist seem thin like an hour glass. But they were bautifully designed with trimmings, heavy plaitings, puffs of ribbons and ruffles of lace. The Men's fashion was very flamboyant and frivolous since the ending of the French Revolution. They wore dark colors such as black with plain cloth and leather. Also, Breeches lengthened to the ankle, coats grew high collars with large lapels and sleeves

    1900's
    The 1900's was a very interesting year. New ideas were brewing in art and science. Also, Teddy Roosevelt was president. Women’s fashion at the turn of the century was beautiful and romantic. They wore corsets with skirts trumpet bell shaped and as gentle flowing as a lily. Men were pretty much gussied up all the time. They wore tuxedos with dressy shoes.

    1920's
    The1920's were the good years. Those were the years when talking movies were developing, everyone was doing the charleston, and organized crime. The fashion was very classy and formal. Women's fashion were short kneed skirts and flappers. While the men's fashion were knickers, baggy pants, and black leather shoes.
  • 1930's

    1930's
    The 1930's weren't the best years. Those were the years when The Great Depression hit the United States and the stock markets were starting to crash.but other than that, they were still pretty good times. The wome's fashion were designer print dressess, and high heeled shoes. The men's fashion were suits with different colored dress shoes.
  • 1960's

    1960's
    The 1960's were the groovy years. Those were the years the famous band, The Beatles were a hit, and the time of the Vietnam war. The women's fashion were mini skirts, leather boots and fake eyeglasses. The men's fashion were polyester suits and boots.
  • 1940's

    1940's
    The 1940's were dark times. Those years the German dictator, Adolf Hitler captured over 6 million jews, which was the holocaust. The women's fashion were lady suits, designer dressess, and high heels.Men's fashion were zoot suits and brogues.
  • 1970's

    1970's
    The 1970's were the years of the hippies, gogo boots, and stilettos. The nam War was going on, around the time of the Watergate Scandal, and gas shortages. Women's fashion were hot pants, halter tops, bell bottoms, and hip huggers. Men's fashion were leisure suits, and dhigh heeled shoes.

    1980's
    These were the years that fashion really took a toll. Shopping malls started sprouted up and designers started advertising their clothes. The women's fashion were leg warmers, headbands, parachute pants, and high heels. Men's fashion were power suits and loafers.
  • 1990's

    1990's
    The 1990's were where it's at! Those were the years of all the good rappers and performers. Those were also the years that everyone thought the world was gonna end (Y2K). Also, in '97 the England princess Diana died in a car accident. The women's fashion were cargos, mini-skirts, and colored-tigswear. Men's fashion were sportswear, shorts, punk look, and t-shirts.
  • 2000's

    2000's
    2000's are the current years we are experiencing now. In 2001, there was a terriost attack on the World Trade Center in New York, also known as 9/11. In 2008, Barrack Obama was elected as the first black president. Women's are skinny jeans, mini-skirts with leggings, and low ride jeans. The men's fashion are designer t-shirts, different structure of pants.
