    John Mills published the book Principles of Political Economics in 1848 and it became a dominant British textbook until 1890. Mills explains his thoughts on industrialization and how these societies should be co-operatives. Mills believe that if industries became co-operative, they would have advantage over commune or socialist institution through competition against trade firms.

    Publication of On Liberty and Utilitarianism

    Mills published Utilitarianism in 1861 in the Fraser's Magazine, then later on in a book in 1863. In this publication it shows the principle of morality through differentiating right from wrong. Also, in the book it mentions the principle of unity which is the actions of a person would determine happiness. If it was right actions, then it led to happiness if wrong then no happiness.

    The subject of Women was an important documentation of the history of feminism written by Mills. In this work Mill calls for women equality which was a controversial topic during this timeframe.
