John Locke was born on August 29th, 1632 in Wrington United Kingdom to parents Agnes Keene and John. His father, John Locke, was a country lawer and a military man who had served as a captain in the Civil War. His mother, Agnes Keene was the daughter of Edmund Keene who was a tanner. This event in significant because a couple years after his birth, Agnes would pass away and John would have to raise the child. This lead John to being tutored and starting his education. English Civil War
Began in 1642 and ended in 1651. It was a war between Parliamentarians and Royalists in England over government. The first and second estates pittied King Charles I. The third estate visioned fighting between King Charles II and Rump Parliament. The war ended on September 3, with the Battle of Worcester, a Parliamentarian victory. End of the Thirty Years War
1618-1648, began when Roman Emperor Ferdinand II of Bohemia tried to reduce religious practices of his subjects, causing Protestants to rebel. This was one of the longest most destructive wars in history. It became more intense as Europe cared less about religion. King Charles II is crowned King of England
Charles II was the King of three kingdoms, England, Scotland, and Ireland. He became king known as the English Interregnum. After losing the Battle of Worester Charles fled to Europe where he spent the next nine years in exile. This event is significant because of him the throne is restored to this day. Great Plague spreads in London
This was the last major epidemic of the plague to occur in England. This included centuries filled with plague like events, killing 75,000 people. This also included the Black Death. The social contract was a model made in the Age of Enlightenment that stated the questions of society and the legitimacy of the state of mind. Written by Hobbes, Locke, and Rousseau the social contract stated the well being of man and certin privleges we should have.
