Stalin invented the 5 year plan
Stalin came up with the five year plan to start industrializing the Soviet Union. He wanted increase in iron production and electrical power by the next five years. During this time prisoners carried out much of the labor working in factories and railroad companies. Stalin's first five year plan would be considered a success to many people. This would be a first step to leading the Soviet Union to one of the leading industrial nations. -

Stalin intiated a huge killing spree for a lot of reasons. Some examples are the paranoia of losing power, jealousy of generals who led better than him, and to execute people who did not like his idea of industrializing the country. Most of this was aimed at the Communist Party. -

Stalin and Hitler signed the non-agression pact. The non-agression pact is an agreement where the two countries agree not to fight against each other for the next ten years. Stalin thought it would be a good idea to keep his nation on peaceful terms with Germany. The agreement also secretly included how the Soviets and Germans would divide Eastern Europe between them. Reported Death
