When the king was removed from his throne. -
December 16, 1689- English Bill of Rights
Gave parliament the sole power to make laws, raise taxes, and control the nations army -
December 16, 1773 – Boston Tea Party protesting Britain’s rule
U.S dumped tea in to the Boston Harbor to show britain that they were backing down -
July 4, 1776- U.S. declares independence from Britain
The war was over between Britain and the United States -
March 1, 1781- Articles of Confederation is approved
