    Abraham
    Abraham is the first of three patriarchs of Judaism and plays a big role in Christianity, Judaism and Islam. He was born around 1800 BCE but a specific date can not be proven. As a young child he questioned his fathers beliefs and started teaching his own belief of a Creator making the entire universe. Abraham was called upon by God to leave his families land and move to a land promised to Abraham and his descendants, when Abraham accepted, that was the beginning of a covenant with God.

    This covenant with God meant there was obligations on both sides, they had certain obligations to God and God did to them. Abraham had to go through 10 tests and pass to prove his worthiness. Abraham traveled through what is now Israel, God promised this land to his descendants but Abraham was not able to have children. He eventually had a child with a maid, named Ishmael, then later on in life had one with his wife Sarah and named him Issac. This land would eventually be passed on to Issac.

    God tests Abraham by telling him to give up his only son as a burnt offering. Eventually, an angel of the Lord restrained Abraham from harming Issac.

    Told in the Book of Esther, the Jews were saved from Hama, who was planning to kill all Jews. His plans were foiled by Esther, who rose to become the Queen of Persia.
