Jerry Rice set multiple records in his junior season of college.
He set the record for touchdown receptions in a season with 27, and he broke his own records for receptions in a season and recieving yards in a season, with 112 catches and 1,845 yards. -
Drafted by the Sanfrancisco 49ers.
Jerry was the 16th pick of the 1985 draft; and was only the third reciever taken at that point. -
In his rookie season, Jerry played very well and was voted the NFC Rookie of the year.

He set the record for touchdowns in a strike shortened season, 22, and he set the record for most consecutive games with touchdown catches wiith 13. Rice also won the NFL Player of the Year award that year. -

Jerry played an outstanding game that day, setting Super Bowl records with 11 catches for 215 yards. Rice was also awarded with the Super Bowl's greatest honor, Super Bowl MVP. -

Jerry then came back from this injury and went to his 12th Pro Bowl and became the oldest player to catch for 1,000 yards in a season. -
