Jefferson was officially elected. This is when he started putting into action his goals for America. -
Lewis and Clark
This was the date the Lewis and Clark expedition started. Jefferson wanted to explore the new land of the Louisiana purchase, so he sent Lewis and Clark out to do it. -
Embargo Act
Jefferson signed the embargo act to stop American trade until Britain and France stopped restricting American trade. This act was not effective.
