    Death of Emmett Till

    Rosa Parks and the Montgomery Bus Boycott
    A nice woman named Rosa Park had gotten on the bus and sat in seat of her choice. A white person had gotten onto the bus and the rule is, the blacks have to give up their seat. The wise woman refused to give her seat resulting in violence. So a boycott happened that the blacks refused to ride the bus and that means the bus company made less money.

    Little Rock Nine
    A group of nine black students going to a high school named "Little Rock Senior High School." Once they tried entering the school, the Arkansas National Guards prevented them from going inside the school. They were bullied every single day getting beaten up and called racial slurs.     He was a civil rights activist who tried to flip segregation at the University of Mississippi. On June 12, 1963 Medgar Evers was killed by a segregationist.

    This church was an act of "white supremacist terrorism." One day four KKK, Ku Klux Klan, members planted over 10 bombs by the steps of the church. The bombs were attached to a timer, so when the timer finished it blew up giving the KKK enough time to go.

    The Death of James Chaney, Andrew Goodman & Michael Schwerner
    The three men went missing and they were all assassinated on the same exact date which is June 21, 1964. The three guys were lynched by the KKK, Ku Klux Klan. They were lynched because they tried to sign up for African Americans to vote as part of the "Freedom Summer effort" to bring back democracy in the South.

    The Civil Rights Act was signed by Lyndon Johnson. This was to devour any form of racism. This includes color, religion, sex, national origin, etc... Also this act ended unequal applications. For example the school could be mixed instead of only whites or only blacks.

    This was a right signed by Lyndon Johnson. The Voting Rights Act was to prevent racial discrimination of voting.

    The Allan Bakke Case was about admission of certain race to college. This case is what changed that to have mixed races in colleges and also schools.
