My Birth and First Years (1971-1980)
During this years,my primary and exclusive language was Spanish. My parents and relatives only spoke Spanish. -
Adolescence (1981-1990)
During this period,I had an special interest in pop-rock music and rock stars musicians. I understood that I had to find the lyrics of the songs and practice very hard,read,read and read. Finally,that lyrics (in English) helped me to understand much better. -
Adulthood (1991-2000)
During this period,I was an undergraduate student,so,English was very common in my life. Then,I lived a couple of years in Evanston,Illinois and I had to learn and practice English every day. I had to survive and I did it. -
Adulthood (2001 until Present)
During this period,I had to work with any kind of students. Students with linguistic limitations (in Spanish) English was very useful. Today,my History class is totally in English and my domain in English is very important. I want to improve my skills in both languages. I want to be a better teacher:this is my goal.
