Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery sail from England and land in what is now called Jamestown. -
Colonists are dying
Many colonists died due to malaria, a sickness carried by mosquitos. Colonists were also drinking nasty river water, making them vary sick and dying. -
John Smith Captured!
John Smith is captured by Native Americans but is later saved by Pocahontas. -
Fire!
A fire almost completely destroys Jamestown -
John Smith saves the day
John Smith takes over in Jamestown, making the men work to make the colony a better place and putting more order in the colony. -
Colonists go hungry and battle with Indians
Because more people are coming over from England, the Indians aren't willing to trade to the colonists anymore. This leads the colonists to constantly battle with the Indians and starve to death. -
House of Burgesses is created
The House of Burgesses, or people who are elected to represent Virginia and it's colonies is created. First assembly in the colonies. -
Families start coming. Population grows.
Families start coming to the New World and Jamestown now that Jamestown is a stable colony. This helps the population grown. Death rates start to go down.
