  • Election of 1824

    Election of 1824
    This was the first election Jackson took place in. He won the popular vote, but John Quincy Adams won overall.
  • Election of 1828

    This is the second election Jackson took part in. In this election he won by a landslide!
  • Indian Removal Act

    Indian Removal Act
    The indian removal act was started by Georgia wanting more land for settlers. To do this, however, they would need to start moving all the indians. This ended in the trail of tears.
  • Worcester v. Georgia

    Worcester v. Georgia
    After the Removal Act, the cherokee indians took congress to court. After a good attempt the cherokee indians had to sign a removal treaty.
  • Nullification Crisis

    Nullification Crisis
    This started after the Tariff of Abominations was put into practice. The state of South Carolina threatened to secede if the tariff was not lifted.
  • Bank War

    Bank War
    The bank war was set up by Jackson to get rid of the national bank. He said "The bank is trying to kill me, but I will kill it." When the time came for the bank charter to be renewed, it was vetoed by Jackson.
