  • Election of 1824

    Election of 1824
    This election was also known as " The Corrupt Bargain". Andrew Jackson won the popular vote. He was against John Q. Adams, Henry Clay, and William Crawford. No one won the electoral vote.
  • Election of 1828

    Election of 1828
    Jackson won once again in the Election of 1828. One benifit for him was the kitchen cabinate. The Kitchen Cabinate consisted of loyal supporters and friends. The negative side of this was he used it way more then his actual cabinate. The spoil system was very good to him. He fired all the federalist and hired people who were not federalist and people who weren't against him.

    Andrew Jackson did not like the national bank one bit. The bank was created by Alexander Hamilton. Jackson knew it wasn't helping and removed it as soon as possible.He thought the bank was too powerful.
  • Indian Removal Act

    The Indian Removal Act also known as the Trail of Tears was a rough time for the native americans. Many lost their lives and others fought to live. Georgia began to move the indians west to make more space in the southeren United States. Chief Osceola of the seminoles led the indians in conflict against the U.S. government. The war was known as the Seminole wars.

    Worcester v. Ga
    This was the Supreme Court case so that the Indians would have the right to remain in Georgia.
  • Nullification Crisis

    Nullification Crisis
    The tarrif hurt many southern planters. The way they solved the problem was the compromise that taxes would be lowered for southerners, but gave the president more power. They made this compromise after south carolina threatened to secede.
