    Candidates, John Quincy Adams, Henry Clay, Andrew Jackson, and William H. Crawford all showed interest in being president. Andrew Jackson won by the eletoral votes, but lost against John Quincy Adams by popular vote
  • Election of 1828

    President Jogn Quincy Adams was running for re-election and going against Jackson once again. Andrew Jackson won more eletoral votes and popular vote, then was offically elected president

    This event started 1832 when Southern states did not follow federal law and could nullify the law. South Caalina passed an ordiance of nullification and threatened to secede because of the high tariffs.
