    In this election, John Quincy Adams was elected president by popular vote when the house of represenatives chose him because no electoral vote was made. Because of John's friend who was the secretary of the house, he easily made the house switch opinions on who should win. The impact is that one person can change many's opinion.

    Election of 1828
    In this election, John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson verse off again for the presidency. Almost 70% of the electoral college voted for Jackson, making him win by a landslide.
  • Indian Removal Act

    The law authorized the president to negotiate with southern Indian tribes for their removal to federal territory west of the Mississippi River in exchange for their ancestral homelands. The impact it had was tons of indians losing their homes, and over 4000 indians dying.

    The battle between Worcester and Georgia was decided in 1832. It was over a family that was forced to move from an indian territory without being told at first. The impact this had was Georgia had some unconstitutional laws, like the law that the case was about, and they were all overturned.

    From 1832 to 1833, South Carolina and the federal government fought over the "Tariff of Abominations," which is the tariff that put a tax on trading items. This hurt the south the most because they depended on trade to send their crops to other countries and the economy would be in a crisis.South Carolina even threatened to secede from the US. The impact was that the government almost ruined the economy because of just one tarrif.

    This is the political struggle that developed over the issue of rechartering the Second Bank of the United States. Occuring from 1829 to 1837, the reason Jackson was fighting was because the president of the bank was using it in an unonstitutional way, and that went against everything that the bank was for. The impact was that is suspended alot of banks were suspended, and unemployment was high at this time.
