While the White Stripes were finishing their final tour, Jack White joined Brendon Benson, Jack Lawrence, and Patrick Keeler to form the pop rock power group The Raconteurs -

After catching broncheitis, Jack White asked Alison Mosshart to sing for him in The Raconteurs. During these performances, Jack and Alison found the chemistry between to be worth making a new band with Jack Lawrence and Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Dean Fertita. -
