Ivan IV led a 150,000-strong Russian army towards Kazan. This battle released about 80,000 slaves. -

After his favorite wife died, Ivan became terrible. Before, he was know as a fair ruler but now he became corrupt and suspicious. -

Killed Son
After going through many deaths in one lifetime, Ivan started becoming mentally unstable. In one such outburst, he killed his son and heir Ivan Ivanovich.This left his younger son, the pious but politically ineffectual Feodor Ivanovich, to inherit the throne. -
Death
Ivan was ready to die due to all the death that was around him. He called witches to kill him but obviously, this didn't work. He soon after die of a stroke.
