    In the beginning the Israelis and the Palestinians were told by their prophet that the land belonged to them. So after many years the Israelis decided that they were going to fight for their land. The Israelis continued to defeat the Palestinians in war and take more land. The borders for the Palestinians began to become smaller and smaller. Now they have about 15% of the country.

    700,000 Palestinians Become Refugees
    After previous wars, thousands of Palestinians have become refugees because they are being forced out of their homes by Israelis so they can have the land they fought for.
  • Nuclear Reactor or Weapons Program

    Israel starts to build a large nuclear reactor,and people were starting to think it was a weapons program, but reports have unconfirmed if it is a nuclear weapons program.
  • The First Big War

    In 1967 the Israelis started wars with the Arabs to get more land. The Israelis defeated the Arabs many times in war. So the borders for the Arabs borders became smaller over the years. Now the Israelis have about 85% over the Arabs 15%.
  • The Six Day War

    The Six Day War
    Threats were sent out to the Arab's for two days. Then the Israeli's sent a massive air assault, it destroyed Arab air capability. Then for another three days the Israeli's concentrated on the Jordanian frontier, capturing Jerusalem's Old City, and the Syrian border. Then the war ended on June 10th.

    The Arabs chose October 6th because this is the Israelis day to participate in a religious celebration. So for the night the people wouldn't be on guard.

    Israeli commanders carry out a raid toward the Palestinians, because they have hostages from previous wars. But the Israelis have to get past the Palestinian and German gunmen.

    On Sept. 6th the Palestinians signed the Oslo Accord for peace, but this still didn't work. They have fought more over the years and there is still no peace between the two.
  • Attempt at Peace

    Bill Clinton attempts to help Israel and Palestine make peace, but has failed. The Israelis and the Palestinians are making no progress in the peace process.
  • A Present Conflict

    A Present Conflict
    Palestinian and Israeli people have been attacking each other. One thing they have been fighting over is access to the Jerusalem religious site, known as the Temple Mount.
