Creation
God created everything in existence by his word in six days. Genesis 1:1 says that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth". This is significant because it shows that we did not evolve and disproves the big bang theory. -
2349 BCE
The Flood
God flooded the earth because He saw that the earth was corrupt and violent. He decided to destroy what he had created. In Gen 6:13,17-18 God says "...the earth is filled with violence...I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth...everything that is on the earth shall die. But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark—you, and all of your family" The evidence of the flood in the world proves that story is true, and supports the truth of the whole Bible. -

Abraham
Abraham who was originally called Abram was a man of God who lived in Ur. God asked him to move far away and if he did he would be blessed with a son and nation. Genesis 15:8 says "On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land". God gives all of us a purpose that we should accomplish. -
1728 BCE
Joseph
Joseph was his father's favorite and his brothers hated him so they threw him down a well. When merchants came by, his brothers pulled Joseph up out of the well and sold him for twenty shekels of silver to the Merchants, who took him to Egypt but later God used him to prevent starvation. Gen. 50:20 says "As for you you meant evil against me but God meant it for good to bring it about that many people could be ket alive as they are today" This shows that God has a plan for each of us to fulfill. -
1446 BCE
Moses and The Exodus
Moses as a baby was in terrible danger and God saved him through an Egyptian Princess. God called him to tell the Pharaoh to let the people go. Exodus 18:1 says"...heard of everything God had done for Moses and for his people Israel, and how the Lord had brought Israel out of Egypt."Once God rescued the Israelites Moses led them through the wilderness. We should trust God to provide in every circumstance. -
1445 BCE
The 10 Commandments
God delivered the 10 commandments to Moses on Mt. Sinai. God wrote the 10 commandments to give Israel a set of rules to follow. We should still follow the rules that god has set before us to show that we love and fear God. -
1406 BCE
Settling Caanan
Moses sent 12 spies into canaan but of the 2 only 12 believed that God could deliver them from the canaanites. Because of their unbelief they had to wander for 40 years before entering canaan. Moses dies but Joshua leads the Israelites into the promised land where God leads them to defeat their enemies. -
1011 BCE
David
As a young boy david was anointed the next king over Israel. His skill as a shepherd with his sling helped him when no one except him was brave enough to stand up to the Phillistine giant Goliath. He knew that God would help him even though it seemed impossible. -
971 BCE
Solomon and the Temple
Solomon was David's firstborn son. Solomon was the one to rebuild the Temple, the holy place of God. In the end though it was Solomon's sin and idolatry that split the nation apart. -
931 BCE
The division of the kingdom
After Solomon died Israel split in two. Israel became the northern kingdom and Judah the Southern. Solomon's son Rehoboam's idolatry further encourages this split. -
722 BCE
Assyrian Conquest of Israel
because the northern kingdom's(Israel) kings didn't obey God God allowed Sargon II to conquer the capital city and capture the people. The people were then brought to Syria and northern Iraq. Because of this capture they were forgotten and now called the 10 lost tribes. God has punishment for those who disobey. -
709 BCE
Sennacharib vs. Hezekiah
Hezekiah was one of the best kings Judah had. After Israel was conquered and destroyed he had to pay a tribute to Assyria. In 702 Hezekiah stopped paying. Sennacharib declared war on Judah in Lasich. Later he ended up winning the battle and capturing many Judeans. -
605 BCE
Daniel
Daniel was a great man of God. Daniel and his God-fearing friends were forced to live in Babylon, but the king saw how responsible they were and promoted them. Evil men tricked the king into making a new law that said all people had to worship the king. Daniel followed God still and the king realized his mistake, but having to stay true to the law had to throw Daniel into the lions den. God knew Daniel and his heart and shut the mouths of the lions. -

Babylonian conquest of Judah
Zedekiah had refused to pay taxes to Babylon for three years. As a result, Jerusalem was captured by the Babylonians. The Babylonians then declared war on them. The Judeans were taken from Judah and taken to Babylon in captivity. -

The Exile
the Judean people were held in Babylon for 48 years. Their captivity came to an end when the Persian King Cyrus the Great conquered Babylon and allowed them to return to Jerusalem in 538 BCE. -
538 BCE
Cyrus the Great
Cyrus the Great was the king of Persia. He led the conquest of Babylon and ended up saving the Judeans from their babylonian exile. He diverted the Euphrates and walked right into the walled city. God can use even our enemies to help us.
