God's Promise to Abraham
God made some promises to Abraham. He promised him that he would have as many descendants as the stars in the sky and that he would have land for his descendants, God also said that he would bless him and all of his descendants after him so that everyone would be blessed. This event is important because this is when God blesses everyone/ the descendants of Abraham -

Joseph
Joseph’s brothers, jealous of their father’s favoritism, sold him into slavery in Egypt. There, he was falsely accused of assault by Pharaoh’s wife and imprisoned. While in jail, Joseph interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s baker and cupbearer, accurately predicting their futures. This event was important because God ended up saving Josephs's family from the famine in Egypt. -
1446 BCE
The Passover
The last plague was that all of the firstborn sons would be killed, God told Abraham to tell all of the Israelites to put blood on their doorway so that the death angel would skip them. The Passover is the celebration of the death angel passing over the houses with blood on the doorway. The reason that this is an important event is because God freed them from the Egyptians. -

The Ten Plagues and the Exodus
The Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go, so God sent 10 plagues. The Nile turned to blood, frogs, and gnats infested the land, houses were filled with flies, livestock were cursed, boils plagued the Egyptians, hail caused deaths, locusts destroyed crops, darkness covered Egypt, and finally, the death of the firstborns, sparing the Israelites. After his son died, the Pharaoh finally let the Israelites go. This event is significant because God freed the Israelites from the Egyptians. -

Wandering in the Wilderness
The Israelite's were wandering in the forest for 40 years. They where wandering in the forest because they weren't listening to God. The importance of this event is that this teaches the Israelite's to follow God. -

God Parts the Red Sea
After the Israelite's were let go the Egyptians changed their minds so they tried to capture them again. When the Israelite's came to the Red Sea Moses was before it and God parted it for them and closed it on the Egyptians. This event was important because God saved the Israelite's yet again. -

The Ten Commandments were rules for God's people to follow. They allowed people to know how God wanted them to live. The significance of this event is that it is God telling the people how he wants them to live. -

Settling Canaan
It took them 40 years to get to Canaan. The Israelite settled in Canaan because Canaan was the promised land. The significance of this event is that God had promised them land to live in. -
1100 BCE
Gideon
Gideon saved the Israelite's from Midianites. He brought 300 men and they blew their trumpets and broke their jars, they defeated the Midianites. The significance of this event is that Gideon trusted God and he brought only 300 men and no weapons. -
1085 BCE
Samson
Samson had super strength that came from his hair. He fell in love with a women that betrayed him and cut off his hair. He was captured by the philistines, the Philistines tied him to 2 building supports. he asked God to give him strength and he let the building fall killing many Philistines and himself. The significance of this event is that God gave him strength to kill the Philistines.
