Creation

4004 BCE

During the creation God created everything. God took 6 days to create everything, and on the 7th day he rested. It was significant because we would not have anything or be here without God creating everything.

The Flood

2349 BCE

During the flood everything was covered in water. God told Noah to put two of every animal on an ark so he did. The flood was significant because it washed away all the sin in the world.

Abarham

2166 BCE

Abarham was the founding father of the covenant. Abarham lived for 175 years. Abarham was always loyal to God.

Joseph

1728 BCE

Joseph was a guy who had a dream that his brothers would bow down to him, so his brothers sold Joseph into slavery. Joseph's brothers meant it for Joseph to have a horrible life, but instead Joseph ended up becoming second in charge of Egypt. His ability to interpret dreams saved his life.

Moses and the Exodus

1446 BCE

Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt. Moses was found in a basket in the Nile River. Moses freed God's people.

The Ten Commandments

1445 BCE

The Ten Commandments was the first written word of God. The Ten Commandments taught us how to be more like God. The Ten Commandment helped people to know more about the Lord.

Settling Cannan

1405 BCE

Cannan was God's promise land. 12 men were sent to spy on Cannan. It was God's act of punishment against Cannan.

David

1011 BCE

David was an unexpected King of Isreal. Davis was a giant slayer. David had a strong passion for God.

Solomon and Building the Temple

971 BCE

Solomon started building the temple the fourth year of him being king. God chose Solomon to build the temple because God wanted the ancient Near East to know that He was among them. It was significant because it represented Gods promise to David becoming true.

The Division Of The Kingdom

931 BCE

The Division of the Kingdom happened when Israel and Judah split into the north and the south. They split because they broke the Covenant and stopped believing in God. It lasted for 200 years.

The Assyrian Conquest of Israel

722 BCE

During this time the Assyrian army captured 10 tribes of Israel. It is lost history after Assyria captured the tribes. It is significant because it ended the history of Israel in the Old Testament.

Sennacherib vs. Hezekiah

707 BCE

Sennacherib trapped Hezekiah " like a caged bird". Hezekiah payed Sennacherib three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.It was significant because he invaded Judah after the revolt of king Hezekiah.

Daniel

605 BCE

Daniel went into the lions den and trusted God and came out just as he went in. Daniel prayed 3 times a day even thought he was told not to. Daniel was significant because of how he followed God.

The Babylonian Conquest of Judah

586 BCE

Babylonians captured Jerusalem and destroyed Solomon's Temple. It completed the fall of Judah. It was significant because the temple was rebuilt, and lots of Gods commandments could only be fulfilled in Israel.

The Exile

586 BCE

During this time a large number of jews were captured in Babylon. The exile lasted about 70 years. It was significant because it created a creative, and excited energy.

Cyrus the Great

538 BCE

He created the great Persian Empire. Cyrus the Great set the Jews free from captivity. He was significant because of his mercy and his high tolerance.
