Angel IslandI had a small family a mother and a sister. We did not have a good life we were poor. I left to make money for my family. I hoped to gain more money to support my family. I wrote this autobiography to show people in the future my life. -
Arriving at Angel Island
When I arived at the island I was taken to be looked at for desises.There were many other people there it was crowded. When I got there i was thinking of gold. people offered me food and stuff and I accepted. I met a group of men who were going gold mining. We chated and they agreed that I could join. We all went our seperate ways for now. -
Gold town
Me and the guys from the Island went to a man who owned land. we got a good deal on some land. we all had to chip in. we even had to pay him 10% of the gold we got. The guys were exited we got fresh land. we found the land and was in perfect condition. everyone was so happy and couldn't wait to get minning. -
setting up for sucess
We all had a pacific job i needed to buy the pans for gold. I went to the minig store in town. I found the pans we needed but they cost me an arm and a leg. I bargened with him but he made me pay full price. When I walked out of the store a man approached me and wanted the pans. He didn't get them to say the least. I arrived back at the mine and the boys got all their stuff. -
hard work
We were several months into our gold mining. We had all collected over 500 ounces of gold. We all Had a meating one night. The boys said that we were set for life. They wanted to go hom but I said that I was going to continue to gold mine. They all went home and i was left alone. I thought to myself what if I expand. -

Angel IslandI had over 100 ounces of gold. I went to the owner of the land and wanted land. I said to him how much land will this buy me slaming the gold on the counter. he said " all of it " almost gasping. He said " do yoiu want it all" I said yes. I signed a few papers and I was on my way home. The man called out to everyone " look at your new landowner. I wnt back to camp and was happy I could be very rich.
