Iraq Car Bomb Kills 10 Near Basra
Near the city of Basra, which is located in southern Iraq, a bomb went off near a bus station. The blast concluded in 10 people killed and many others wounded. Officials beleive the attack is connected to the continuing protests by members of the Sunni minority. -

Bomb Kills Two Government Officials in Iraq
In a disputed area of Iraq a roadside bomb killed two men. One was the head of the Tuz Kurmatu town council and the other was a momber of the provinical council. Tuz Khurmatu is roughly 124 miles north of Baghdad and has been the area of much land disputes. -
Iraq Rejects $4 Billion Egypt Request
Iraqi officials rejected Egypt's bank bond talks. This highlights larger trends occurring in teh Middle East such as the faltering economy of multiple countries. If the countries are not oil rich, then they are struggling. Egypt's planning minister visited Iraq this week in hopes of gaining a $4 billion bond to boost Egypt's economy. -

Iraq annouced it has agreed to search Iranian aircrafts headed to Sryia. this statement came after U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki that Iraq plays a critial role in stopping violence inside the Middle East. Tikrit Police HQ Hit by Deadly Tanker Bomb Attack
In the city of Tikrit, the police station was attacked by a suicide bomber. The attack resulted in at least nine people dead and has placed tension on the city. The attack highleghts growing political conflict between the Northern region of Iraq and the lower regions. -
KRG Decides to Build Housing Units for Limited Income People
Roughly a 1,000 housing units are planned for construction to help low income individuals living within the Northern region of Iraq know as Kurdistan. The buildings are aimmed at helping the area attract tourist and new businesses. While most of the country has been struggle in the years since the Iraq War, the Kurdist region of Iraq has been relatively stable. -
Gunmen Raid 4 Newspaper Offices in Baghdad
Shiite militiamen are suspected of attacking four different newspaper offices around Baghdad. The attacks appear to have been conducted by Shiite militiamen who are enraged over criticism printed in the newspapers about the leaders. Roughly 50 men took part in the raid destroying the offices and attacking employees. -
Gunmen in Iraq Kill Sunni Militiaman
An anti-al-Qaida Sunni militia man was gunned down in his home outside of the city of Baghdad. Iraqi officials believe his was killed because of his pro-government group know as the Sahwa.
