Iran's Islamic regime is using child soldiers to suppress anti-government demonstrations
Armed with air guns and batons, children around the age of 14 have been alongside riot police. The anti-government protesters were supposedly attacked by these child soldiers. -

Iran freed 100 imprisoned protesters in an attempt to ease tensions before elections. It was said that the prisoners were convicted of security-related crimes. -
Lawyer’s jail sentence reduced
A lawyer working in human rights, who defends protesters has prison sentence cut from 11 years to 6 years. She was convicted "for the offences of "acting against the national security", "propaganda against the regime" and "membership of Human Rights Defenders Centre"" says Guardian timeline website. -
Iranian lashed 74 times over insult
A one year jail sentence was almost over but was ended with hours of lashing before his release. Some could say that this lashing was unprecedented. He was found guilty of speaking to foreign media and of propaganda against the regime. He was given the 74 lashes for writing an "insulting" letter to President Ahmadinejad.
