In the second version of the original iPod, the scroll wheel with clickable buttons was removed and there was now a touchable scroll wheel. Also, the FireWire port on this iPod got a protective door.

This miniature iPod was the size of a business card. The buttons were placed on the wheel which introduced the Click Wheel to the iPod line. -
Fourth Generation iPod
This iPod adapted the iPod Mini's Click Wheel controls and lowered the price of the most expensive iPod to less than $400.
